RESET Jazz Festival

An explosive 7th edition

The RESET Jazz Festival returns to neimënster on 𝟏𝟖, 𝟏𝟗 & 𝟐𝟎 𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐫 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 to bring you an exhilarating musical experience!

Get ready… The Reset festival, a not-to-be-missed event for music lovers at the start of the year, is back.

It’s become a not-to-be-missed event for music lovers at the start of the year. For this 7th edition of the RESET jazz festival, Neimënster has once again invited composer and vibraphonist Pascal Schumacher to take on the role of musical curator and come up with a program that is as cutting-edge and ambitious as ever. To bring the project to fruition, rising stars and established jazz stars from Belgium, France, Germany, Finland, Japan, Denmark and the UK, accompanied by Luxembourg double bassist Marc Demuth, were invited to spend several days in residence at neimënster. Exchanges, personal connections and sound experiments… discover the results of their working sessions over three exceptional evenings.

This year’s candidates are :
Cecilie Strange (Denmark) – Saxophone
Elodie Pasquier (France) – Clarinet
Makiko Hirabayashi (Japan) – Piano
Eva Klesse (Germany) – Drums
Jim Hart (United Kingdom)  – Vibraphone
Marc Demuth (Luxembourg) – Double bass
Kalle Kalima (Finland) – Guitar
Rémy Labbé (Belgium) – Trumpet

Élodie Pasquier, French clarinettist, will participate in this programme!

Élodie has a singular sound, a musical strength where the destructured joy of free punk and the melodic precision of chamber music are mixed. Her various formations have enabled her to perform in numerous festivals and on international stages (Poland, Finland, Mexico, Germany, Russia, Berlin, Salzburg…).
Recently, she was named associate artist for the year by the Scène Nationale de Besançon “Les Deux Scènes”, and companion artist for the year by the Festival Jazzèbre de Perpignan (2021).
